Christmas Picture Fun!!

So this morning we decided to go to the Picture People in the mall to get Christmas pictures made with the three dogs and the kids. Can you say, "Zoloft...please...!"

It was actually fun and everyone behaved very well.

It sure has been awhile....

There has been a lot going on since my last post, and numerous reasons why I haven't kept up with it. I am going to try to do a better job, my early New Year's resolution.

So since the last post, Madi performed in her first choir concert. We had Halloween where Madi dressed up as Esmerelda. We also went to this years dance convention in Greensboro.

Madi's first choir concert.

Dance Convention 2010
This past weekend Madi went to her first school dance. At Woods, middle school starts at 5th grade. So she went and had her hair done before hand, and Tori and I dropped her off. She danced with Jeshua for all the slow songs. (how sweet!!) And Rachel, her best friend, came home with her first boyfriend, Steven. Isn't it funny how simple life is in 5th grade!?!

Tori has had an interesting first semester in college to say the least. One positive thing that she has been able to do is lose weight. She has lost upwards of 20+ pounds. She now wears a size 4. She is very excited about that!! There have also been many highs and many lows. But the one thing I can say is through it all is she kept moving forward, which is more than I can say for some.

We also had a major life event for Tori!! Papa and Nana purchased her first car for her!! Tori says it is "fun sized" just like her. It couldn't be anymore perfect for her. It is like a mini- minivan. She is in hog heaven!!
Now that she lives with Grandpa, it was just something she had to have. For the last 3 or 4 weeks Nana and Papa have been so gracious to let us use one of their cars so Tori could use the minivan for school. All I can say is Cliff is very greatful to have his car back!!

Could anyone be any happier??

What a surprise it was.

Papa also left the rules for the car all over the seats!

We are finally ready for Christmas! Lights, tree and decorations are up in and outside of the house. And this year we have been blessed with the neighbors adding another blow-up christmas decoration to their yard! A golfing santa makes three!! Yeah!!! So now we have the helicopter with flying santa, a sleigh with santa, and the golfing santa. This, all next to my very traditional wreath, bows and white light decorations. How lucky are we!! Oh well?!?

College Football Games.. Good Times.

Last weekend we all went to the Duke vs Elon football game for the Duke family kickoff event. It was a lot of fun. There was dancing and face painting, and lots of fun people watching to do. I think my kids learned some valuable life lessons in the process from some of the Elon students. I think I saw maybe 7 plays during the whole first half because there was just some much craziness going on around me.

What is going on in the back of my head??
How low can Madi go??

I'm fairly certain I was never able to do this!!

How cute is this picture!!!??!!

How much walking could there possibly be????

At Nana's Baking!!

This weekend was family weekend at ECU. ECU won and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for a football game. We also had a momentous occasion, Cliff bought his first ECU shirt. I think he may have shed a little tear when he put it on. Sorry UNC.

After the game, we went for dinner and shopping. What else would you expect we would do? Then back to Tori's dorm for some horsing around. It was a fun day and worth the drive!!

Madi's Party at Wet-N-Wild

WOW....What a Weekend it Was!!!

Just when you think you have things under control, think again!! This weekend was going to be a full one because we celebrated Madi's birthday with a sleep over on Friday night and then taking the girls to Wet and Wild water park on Saturday. That was enough for me, but then through in a lot of back and forth to ECU, now you have a rough weekend. There just are not enough hours in the day!!!

Friday night the girls didn't finally quiet down until 2am. Then we woke and were on our way to Greensboro. Tori got sick at school on Friday and needed to come home. Food poisoning is or best guess. Ray went and got her while we were gone and stayed with her at home until right before we got home. All the girls left around 8pm. What a relief that was. Then Tori was feeling better so..... off to Walmart we go at 10pm on Satrday night - clearly we have nothing better to do. We got home around 12:45, put away groceries and went to bed.

Then Sunday, OMG!!! It's really a blurr.

We went to Kohl's (needed running shorts), Finish Line(needed more sneakers), Sprint (moisture in the phone, new phone), Nana and Papa's (picked up home made muffins for Tori), took Tori back to school and came home. All I can say is thank god tomorrow is Monday!!!
Getting lunch at the park!

The girls having fun at the pool.
Time for the Spa party!!

ECU Move In

This past Wednesday was the much anticipated move in day to ECU. Emotions ran high...and in true Webb family fashion there was plenty of arguing.

However...when it was all said and done, the putting together of the room was a success. It only took 2 hours of moving the furniture to make it fit in the room, one complete Mommy break down, one smack in the back of the head, one spilt soda on the new comforter and one smelly roommate to get it all done.

Very tight, but workable quarters!!
Tori was happy when it was all done. It just took along time to get there. When we left everyone was much better and Tori was set for a long weekend of volunteering and preparing for classes to start on Tuesday.

There will be a lot of transitioning to do. However, I think it will all work out ok.

Purple, Green and Zebra, the only way to go!!

Celebrating Madi's 10th Birthday

Last Sunday we celebrated Madi's birthday with the family before Tori went off to ECU. Madi is turning the big 10!! It's very exciting turning your first double digit number!! We celebrated with Nana and Papa and went out for dinner at her favorite restuarant..Long Horn.

Madi also participated in her first fashion show at Belk's last Sunday. She was adorable. Walking down the "red carpet" in her cute little outfit. It was a lot of fun.
That's her professional "Modeler" face...

A week without Dad....

So the week isn't even quite over yet, but what a few days it has been!! Late night phone calls from Madi wanting to come home from friends houses, doctors appointments and ten dogs under one roof.

Tori found 7, yes 7 puppies on the side of the road yesterday and brought them home. Oh what fun puppies are until.....the inevitable happens. Tori, Madi and myself gave them a bath and fed them only to very quickly realize we needed to quickly find somewhere for them to go. After much stressing out, we took them to the Orange County animal shelter last night. Today we already received a call they are doing great. They have all been fixed, treated for worms, fleas and ticks and the one little boy with a hernia has already been repaired. What a wonderful bunch they are!! If you know of anyone in the market for a wonderful puppies, orange county shelter is the place to go get one on Eubanks road in Chapel Hill.
Sweet Babies Sleeping

This week has been fun!! Madi and Nana spent all day today baking and they started Madi a collection of recipe cards of Nana's baked goods so when she grows up she'll be able to bake for her family as well. I'm sure they will be cherished!!

No Air conditioning???

It is noon on 7/25/10, probably the hottest day of the year (100+) and of course we wake up to no air conditioner. How perfect!! Cliff leaves tomorrow to go to S.C. to start his new job and I'm home juggling the kids and three dogs with every one's different schedules and no air!! Could you ask for a more perfect start to your week?

On a brighter note, Madi was asked to model for the Belk's fall fashion show in early August. She is very excited. As she used to say when she was little, "She's going to get to be a modeler!!"

A couple weeks to go until we move Tori into her ECU dorm room. She's getting a little nervous. But all in all she's excited. My dining room looks like a mini Target store with stacks of dorm room accessories, bedding, storage containers and the like. However, we just can't seem to pass up a good buy whenever we're out. Hopefully we're about done??
